Student Orientation
Master of Arts in the field of Translation (MAT) Programme organizes an orientation session for new students before the start of an academic year (usually in late August) to acquaint new students with their teachers and classmates.

During the Orientation, Programme staff and instructors will explain to new students noteworthy items pertaining to the start of an academic semester, which includes the course selection procedures and deadlines, teaching mode and Programme information, and attendance requirements etc., together with answering any questions raised on site.

Staff-Student Consultative Committee Meeting
At the end of each academic year, a Staff-Student Consultative-Committee (SSCC) meeting will be held. Student representatives will be invited to attend the meeting to voice the opinions from their classmates on teaching and learning, which they share with the Programme Chairman and Coordinator. All Students will be informed of the meeting details by email.

2023/24 SSCC meeting date: Early Dec and Early July. To be confirmed

Opinion survey for course teaching
Students will be invited to complete the “Student Feedback on Teaching and Learning” (SFTL) questionnaire for the School to assess the course effectiveness and other components related to teaching and learning. The online system for SFTL is usually opened one week before the end of each semester for students’ completion during the lesson.
