Admission Requirement
To be admitted to the MA in Translation programme, applicants must fulfil ALL of the following requirements:

Programme Entrance Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree from a recognised university, or equivalent qualifications.
- Candidates with an equivalent professional qualification may also be considered.
- Candidates may be invited to take a qualifying examination.
English Language Requirements
In addition to satisfying the requirements for admission to the curriculum concerned, an applicant who is seeking admission on the basis of a qualification from a university or comparable institution outside Hong Kong of which the language of teaching and/or examination is NOT English is required to obtain one of the following test results:

| TOEFL: Paper-based test (PBT) | Overall score of 550 with 4 in Test of Written English (TWE); or |
| TOEFL: Internet-based test (iBT) | Overall score of 80 with 25 in Writing; or |
| IELTS (Academic) | Band 7 with no subtest lower than 6.0 |
(Note: Only TOEFL/IELTS scores recorded in the two years before the date of application will be considered.)
