Admission

To be admitted to the MA in Translation programme, applicants must fulfil ALL of the following requirements:

IELTS (Academic):

A minimum overall band of 7 with no subtest lower than 6.0.

Programme Entrance Requirements:

1. A Bachelor's degree from a recognised university, or equivalent qualifications.
2. Candidates with an equivalent professional qualification may also be considered.
3. Candidates may be invited to take a qualifying examination.

English Language Requirements:
In addition to satisfying the requirements for admission to the curriculum concerned, an applicant who is seeking admission on the basis of a qualification from a university or comparable institution outside Hong Kong of which the language of teaching and/or examination is NOT English is required to obtain one of the following test results:

Note: Starting from the 2026 intake, IELTS and TOEFL tests must be taken within two years prior to September 1 of each admissions year. IELTS Indicator and TOEFL Speicial Home Edition are not accepted.
